United Way of Greater Knoxville launches 2026 Spring Volunteer Guide

United Way of Greater Knoxville (UWGK) has released its 2026 Spring Volunteer Guide, providing a single resource for individuals, families and groups to find volunteer opportunities across East Tennessee.

The guide, launched on the first day of National Volunteer Month, brings together information on ways to get involved with nearly 40 local nonprofit organizations, from festivals and events to food distribution, youth programs and outdoor cleanups.

“Volunteering is woven into the fabric of our community, and spring is one of the busiest times for our nonprofit partners,” said Chrystal Armstrong Brown, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Knoxville.” With both an uptick in events and programming as well as fewer college student volunteers due to breaks and finals, our nonprofit community faces a gap just as the need is greatest. The guide is the single, easiest and best resource for people who want to help to connect with local organizations that need help. It’s a win-win-win for nonprofits, volunteers and the community.”

The 2026 Spring Volunteer Guide will be available through July 5 and updated with new opportunities bi-weekly.

With options for a variety of schedules and interests, using the Spring Volunteer Guide makes it easy to serve as an individual, with a group or as a family. Family-friendly and group opportunities are noted throughout the guide.
