September is always an exciting month at VIP Knoxville as we prepare for the many fall traditions and events that East Tennessee has to offer. But this year feels extra special as we celebrate our second annual 50 Under 50 issue. What began last year as a new opportunity to recognize some of the people making a difference across our community has quickly become a tradition I am proud to continue. Our 50 Under 50 honorees represent a range of industries, organizations and professions throughout Knoxville and East Tennessee. Each person has followed a different path, but they share a commitment to leadership and the community they call home. 

One of my favorite parts of this new tradition has been seeing the support surrounding our honorees. Friends, family members, colleagues and community leaders have been quick to celebrate their accomplishments. That enthusiasm was especially evident as we gathered our honorees for their photoshoot. Watching people genuinely celebrate one another was a reminder of what makes Knoxville such a special community. I hope you will take some time to read their stories throughout this issue. Chances are, you will recognize a familiar face or two. 

Please join us in congratulating the 2026 VIP Knoxville 50 Under 50 honorees. Recognition means even more when it comes from the community these leaders work so hard to serve. Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and helped us identify this year’s class. The response confirmed just how many people are doing meaningful work throughout our area, and narrowing the list was no easy task. I am excited to see this tradition continue in the years ahead. Knoxville has no shortage of people worth celebrating, and VIP Knoxville is honored to help tell their stories.
