February is one of my favorite issues of the year, because it is our annual Wedding Issue. Inside these pages, you will find a collection of weddings from Knoxville couples who were married over the past year. Each couple had a personal approach to a meaningful day, from intimate gatherings to larger events filled with family and friends. Together, these stories highlight the many ways couples in our community choose to begin their lives together.

Last month, my family and I took a trip to Mexico to escape the winter blues. While the sunshine and warm weather were a welcome change, one unexpected highlight was the number of weddings taking place at our resort. Nearly every day, several ceremonies were happening across the property. It was fun to observe the range of styles and traditions. Seeing so many weddings in such a short span of time was a reminder that there is no single way to celebrate a marriage.

During that trip, my husband and I found ourselves reflecting on our own wedding, which took place more than a decade ago. Watching couples celebrate surrounded by loved ones brought back memories of our planning process and the excitement leading up to the day. It also made us realize how quickly time passes. As you turn the pages, I hope you enjoy seeing how Knoxville couples are bringing their own stories to life.

This issue also includes the 2026 VIP Knoxville Wedding Guide, designed to be a helpful resource for newly engaged couples. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, especially at the beginning. The guide features local vendors across a variety of categories, offering couples a place to start as they consider options and make decisions. Whether you are newly engaged, actively planning or simply enjoy reading about weddings, I hope this issue brings a smile to your face. At its core, a wedding is about gathering people together to mark an important moment. These pages celebrate that idea in many forms, and we are grateful to the couples who shared their stories with us.

As always, thank you for reading VIP Knoxville and for allowing us to be part of your everyday moments and milestone celebrations.
