The University of Tennessee Medical Center Honors Distinguished Team Members at 2025 Wall of Distinction Ceremony

The University of Tennessee Medical Center held its annual Wall of Distinction Ceremony on Thursday, August 14, recognizing former team members and physicians whose lasting contributions have shaped the medical center’s mission, vision and reputation for excellence in healthcare.

The Wall of Distinction, established to honor individuals who dedicated their careers to advancing patient care, medical education and innovation, first recognized Dr. Jack Lacey in 2016 following his four decades of service at the medical center.

This year, the medical center proudly inducted four honorees whose leadership and service have left a profound legacy:

? Dale C. Wortham, MD – Director of Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiology Fellowship Program Director. Years of Service: 1995 – 2018

? James V. Hinkle, DPh – Associate Director of Pharmacy. Years of Service: 1981 – 2020

? J. Marshall Williams – Administrative Support Assistant/Patient Representative. Years of Service: 1991 – 2023

? Cathy H. Kerby, MSN, RN, NE-BC – Magnet® Program Director, Nursing Administration. Years of Service: 1980 – 2022

The Wall of Distinction serves as a lasting tribute to individuals whose service exemplifies the values of the medical center and inspires current and future team members to carry forward their legacy.
