The Rothchild Catering and Conference Center was all abuzz for the Community Action Committee’s (CAC) signature Power of the Purse fundraiser. Attendees perused an incredible variety of gently used purses, totes, handbags and jewelry as well as some fantastic auction items. Exciting purchases were then made allowing folks to go home with a few new accessories to complement their wardrobes, and all while supporting a wonderful cause. The CAC ensures that all of the proceeds from the event are put towards helping to provide meals and safety checks for homebound seniors in Knox County. The Mobile Meals program serves nutritious noon-time meals to 1,100 homebound Knox County seniors each weekday.
